ST. LOUIS (KTVI) - Cardinals top brass are sitting down with local media to discuss a New York Times report alleging team employees hacked the Houston Astros.

St. Louis Cardinals Chairman Bill DeWitt Jr. expressed shock and disbelief upon initially learning of the FBI’s investigation in January or February.

Flanked by team general manager John Mozeliak, DeWitt said he was unaware of how many employees may have been involved in the scheme to infiltrate the Astros’ internal database.

DeWitt thanked fans for sticking by the team.
