Woman gets 9 years for statutory rape of son’s friend

ST. CHARLES, Mo. (AP) _ A 30-year-old St. Charles woman accused of having sex with her child’s 12-year-old friend has been sentenced to nine years in prison.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports Nicole Marie Smith pleaded guilty Tuesday to two counts of statutory rape and one count of statutory sodomy with a person younger than 14.

According to court documents, the 12-year-old boy told police that he and Smith had sexual intercourse and oral sex multiple times in her home since April 2014 while Smith’s son was in the basement.

Smith will be under lifetime supervision after she completes her prison sentence.
