Cherokee Street cave “geyser” caught on video

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – Thursday night’s heavy rains stressed St. Louis City’s infrastructure. There is apparently a strange thing that happens on Cherokee street when it rains a lot. Water comes shooting out of the caves below the street.

One lucky Instagram user “dredfurst” caught the rare event on video. The official Instagram account for Cherokee street replied:

Oh man you caught it on video! I’ve only heard about it! Every hard rain the caves under Cherokee spew up water. Nice catch
