Missing four-year-old found safe

MOLINE ACRES (KTVI) – A four-year-old girl taken from her father’s car in broad daylight Thursday was found safe less than 24 hours later.

Moline Acres police detectives cancelled the missing person advisory for the child on Friday around 12:45 p.m.

Police did not specify where they found her.

Thursday’s incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. in the 2200 block of Chambers Road.

The child was inside a car with her father parked at a residence. When the girl’s father got out of the car, he was maced by a woman while the child’s mother took the four-year-old.
