CAPE CANAVERAL, FL (KTVI)-Chris Kerber, who does radio play-by-play for the St. Louis Blues, witnessed the launch of the SpaceX supply rocket that exploded Sunday morning. He was at the launch as part of a NASA Social experience, which is a program that gives NASA’s social media followers  a chance to learn and share information about NASA’s missions and programs.

An unmanned rocket by Elon Musk’s SpaceX on a resupply mission to the International Space Station exploded Sunday just minutes after launch. SpaceX said that an “anomaly” had caused the spaceship, named Dragon, to fail.

Kerber posted a blog of the experience of the St. Louis Blues website. Part of that blog reads, “I was not shooting pictures or filming. We had enough people in our group doing that. I wanted to watch and did through my binoculars. I could see the explosion yet it was far enough away we really didn’t hear it.”
