National youth cricket league championship hosted in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - We are in the heat of baseball season, but another sport is coming to St. Louis.

The National Youth Cricket Championship is the first cricket event of its kind and magnitude coming to the St. Louis region.

The games begin Thursday, July 2 with the opening ceremony including a team walk, followed by the National Anthem.

The League Championship will play in these locations:

  • Ed Bales Park / DuSable Dog Park
  • Sports Port, Maryland Heights
