ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - Melenie Broyles with Etiquette Saint Louis joins STLMoms to discuss etiquette manners for being “out and about” with the kids this month.

  1. Amusement parks:
  • Wait patiently in line
  • Do not always assume you kid did nothing to cause an issue
  • Do not be passive aggressive
  • Be prepared- bring enough money so you do not have to borrow
  1. Ballgame or sporting events:
  • Manners still matter
  • Do not get up and down constantly
  • Use positive cheering
  • Enjoy the food and snacks but pick up after yourself and do not just let all other manners go (belching, chewing with your mouth closed etc.)
  • Do not carry on conversations so loudly that others cannot hear game or activity.
  1. Friends house:
  • Make sure plans are clear
  • Be flexible
  • Teach your children to speak to the parents when they arrive
  • Please, thank you, yes ma'am, no ma'am.
