ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – The Missouri Department of Transportation will begin bridge renovations in north St. Louis County during the week of July 6, according a MoDOT communications specialist.
In a statement, Shaunda White said the construction will take place on the bridges over the intersections of New Florissant Road and New Halls Ferry Road on I-270. The renovation will take one month to complete.
The bridges are more than 50-years-old and repairs are not a permanent fix, but will lengthen the bridges usable life.
I-270 will remain open during the renovation. New Florissant Road and New Halls Ferry Road will be closed under the interstate.
All closures will be in place by Monday, July 13. Vehicles traveling on I-270 should expect to see delays, as work zones could add 30 minutes or more to travel time.
