ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - Monday is the deadline for St. Louis aldermen to recommend members of the city's new police civilian oversight board.
The new panel will have the power to review complaints about the police force but won't have the authority to discipline officers.
Aldermen had a month to submit names to the mayor, after he signed the bill into law. The mayor will now nominate seven members to the board by august 5th.
The aldermen will hold public hearings in November on whether to confirm those nominees.
