Meetings to be held for Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery expansion plan

ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – Two public meetings will be held in Lemay to discuss the possible extension of Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, according to the St. Louis County communications director Cordell Whitlock.

In a statement, Whitlock said the cemetery could extend into a 38-acre portion of Sylvan Springs County Park. The Veterans Administration and the St. Louis County Department of Parks and Recreation will give presentations at the meetings.

The meetings will take place on Tuesday, July 21 and Thursday July 23 at The Pavillion at Lemay, located at 305 Gregg Rd. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the meetings will begin at 7 p.m.
