Body found in fire was a Kenrick Seminary student

WATERLOO, IL (KTVI) – Turns out the man whose body was found in a burned out farmhouse in Waterloo Illinois had recently been charged with setting fires.

Firefighters stumbled upon the body of William Holmes of Waterloo when they were going through what was left of the burned abandoned building Monday afternoon.

Holmes was a seminary student at Kenrick Seminary in Shrewsbury.

He had recently been charged with setting fire to some playground equipment in Shrewsbury.

Police do not suspect foul play in his death.
