LAKE OZARK, MO (KTVI) – Ameren Missouri closed Bagnell Dam earlier this week after giving the flooded Truman Lake time to recede.

Heavy rainfall forced Ameren Missouri to open the dam’s 12 floodgates on July 1. The lake crested at more than 662.5 feet the next day.

The water level at the Lake of the Ozarks is about 659 feet, which is the typical level for the summer.
