GRAFTON, IL (KTVI) - After a rough tourist season in Grafton, things were looking promising Friday.
Flooding hurt business in the city, but the water has receded.
"We were all waiting for the water level to drop," Sarah Jolliff said. "It's going to be a fun filled weekend."
To celebrate the change in water level, the city had a fireworks display at 9 p.m.
Many people made the trip to Grafton just to see the fireworks.
Business owners hope people continue to flock to the city and that the water level continues to drop.
