U.S. men’s soccer team to play qualifying round in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – At a downtown press conference Monday, it was announced that the U.S. Men’s National Soccer Team would play a third round qualifying match for the 2018 World Cup in St. Louis at Busch Stadium. The game will be held on November 13, 2015. The match will be against the winner of the St. Vincent & The Grenadines and Aruba.

The U.S. was given a bye in the first three rounds of qualifying along with the other powers of the North and Central American and Caribbean region.

The U.S. team is ranked 34th in the world  and drew Group C in lottery held in Russia this past Saturday in the lead up the World Cup being held in Russian in 2018.

The men’s team will be seeking its eighth straight World Cup appearance.

Ticket for the match will go on sale Wednesday, August 5th at 10 am central time. Tickets can be purchased through, by phone at 314-345-9000, or at the 8th street ticket window at Busch Stadium Monday-Friday from 10 am to 4 pm.
