ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – For the first time ever the U.S. Navy has given permission for Boeing to sell the Growler to another country. The Royal Australian Air Force took delivery of its very first EA-18g Growler built-in St. Louis.

It was part of a big ceremony at Boeing because Growlers are big business for the company’s defense unit and for the St. Louis economy.

The Australian Growler must still undergo extensive testing and won’t be flying for the Royal Air Force until 2017.
