ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – Several Cardinals players didn't let Tuesday's (July 28) loss against the Reds stop them from putting smiles on people's faces at St. Louis Children's Hospital Wednesday morning (July 29). The players, joined by their significant others, went room to room delivering signed teddy bears and hats to lucky fans, and taking pictures with patients and family members.

"We're the lucky ones that get to come out here and meet these kids and these families because they're the fighters so it's really our honor," said Nikki Jay, wife of Cardinals center fielder Jon Jay.

A spokesperson for St. Louis Children's Hospital said the Cardinals organization has been supporting the hospital for more than 20 years.
