GREENWOOD, Mo. (AP) _ A Greenwood couple has been charged in a dog attack that left a toddler injured.

According to prosecutors, 42-year-old Brett William Cottrell and 39-year-old Shannon M. Cottrell were charged Friday with “subsequent dog bites, liability of owner” for their dog’s attack on Isaiah Francis on July 25.

The child was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries including skull fractures and more than 60 puncture wounds.
