Woman identified after trying to steal plane at Downtown St. Louis Airport

CAHOKIA, IL (KTVI) - Police say a St. Louis woman Tried to steal a jet from the Airport in Cahokia on Wednesday. She has been identified as Naima Wartts.

Officers were called to the tarmac outside the large jet aviation facility. They say Wartts had convinced a security guard she worked there and then entered the plane. She was found in the cockpit flipping switches nd trying to start it. Fortunately it had been disabled for repairs.

Police say wartts has bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.
