Rain dampens crowds along West Florissant for Michael Brown commemorative weekend

FERGUSON, MO (KTVI) – As a large crowd gathered on West Florissant Avenue in Ferguson, the air was  hot and roiling with humidity. Eventually thunderstorms rolled through the North St. Louis community. A lot of crowd ran for shelter from the rain. Police from Ferguson, St. Louis County and the Missouri Highway Patrol are one West Florissant keeping traffic moving and an eye on the crowd that had gathered along the street.
