Troy man charged assault upon an officer

LINCOLN COUNTY, MO (KTVI) – A Troy Missouri man is facing charges for assaulting a police officer after it takes 7 people to restrain him. Police say Tyler Gustafson was pulled over for a felony probation warrant on Highway 47.

Gustafson refused to get out of his truck, struggled with and even hit the officer, then tried to drive off and dragged the officer with him.

Six bystanders, including 2 undercover officers stepped in to help.

He was eventually subdued, but it took 2 sets of handcuffs.

Gustafson is charged with 3 counts of assault on an officer and is being held on a $10,000 bond.
