O’FALLON, IL (KTVI) – The St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office charged a 52-year-old Florissant man for allegedly making several inappropriate comments or remarks of a sexual nature to a young boy in a park bathroom nearly two weeks ago.

According to the O’Fallon Police Department, the incident happened August 14 at the O’Fallon Community Park.

The suspect never made physical contact with the 14-year-old victim, but told the child to stay in the bathroom. Prosecutors allege the suspect, later identified as Ronald Fernandez, performed a sex act on himself in front of the victim.

Prosecutors charged Fernandez with unlawful restraint and disorderly conduct.

Fernandez turned himself in to police on Thursday. He posted bond and was released from jail, pending a future court date.
