ST. LOUIS (KTVI) -Better Family Life which provides the community at-large with vital services hosted its 8th annual PeaceFest Saturday at the Central Fields in Forest Park. The festivities started at 10 am with the inaugural 5K Fun Run/Walk.

While the PeaceFest is about family, the theme for this year was to stop the gun violence occurring in the City of St. Louis. Parents, and families of those lost loved ones to violence are still seeking answers to why their loved one were killed. Some of those who lost love ones spoke to FOX 2’s Chris Hayes about their loss and pain.

PeaceFest celebrated family and community in Forest Park, and the festival included a children’s play zone, live music and entertainment on the main stage, competitive sports, dancing, and vendors offering skin and hair products, handcrafted jewelry, clothing, accessories, foods, and services.
