FBI questions suspicious passenger on plane from Chicago to Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, MO (WDAF) – A suspicious passenger is being investigated at Kansas City’s airport.

The FBI tells WDAF-TV that a person travelling on a flight from Chicago to Kansas City was acting unusual. The American Airlines crew contacted airport police before the plane landed at KCI. The person was taken into questioning after the plane landed.

The baggage claim area at KCI was searched. A source tells FOX 4 in Kansas City that investigators also pulled bags off of Flight 1278.

The hazardous materials team and the bomb squad were also called to assist in the investigation.
