MANCHESTER, MO (KTVI) – A six-year-old girl had to be rescued Thursday night after falling into a hole in her backyard.

The incident occurred near the intersection of Baxter and Manchester roads.

Battalion Chief Ray White said one of the girl’s legs folded back as she fell.  In order to pull her out safely, crews had to dig a separate hole so she could straighten her leg and be safely rescued.
