Bridge work to affect traffic on I-270, I-70 near St. Charles Rock Road

BRIDGETON, MO (KTVI)- Motorists along I-270 near I-70 and St. Charles Rock Road should expect new traffic patterns starting Friday, September 25th. MoDOT crews are expected to shift traffic on the I-270 bridges at I-70 and St. Charles Rock Road as they begin bridge maintenance and repairs. The construction will take approximately six weeks to complete.

Interstate 270 will have narrowed lanes during the day and up to two lanes will be closed at night.

Beginning tonight, crews will close all lanes on St. Charles Rock Road in one direction from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night.

They will also begin bridge maintenance on southbound I-270 at I-70 on Wednesday, September 30th. Drivers on St. Charles Rock Road will not be able to access southbound I-270.

The ramp is tentatively scheduled to close on Wednesday, September 30th for one month. It will begin at 8p.m.

As an alternate, motorists can use westbound I-70 to detour around the closure.
