Stories differ on 8-year-old bitten by neighborhood dog

JENNINGS, MO (KTVI) – Story Jones is still shaken up after a neighborhood dog known as Panda attacked her on a Jennings street last Friday. According to the 8- year-old, a female was walking the dog and she asked to pet it after her older sister touched it. She says the dog suddenly attacked her doing damage to her face, arm, leg and chest. Her mother wants the dog immediately put down.

But the dog’s owner has a different story, saying the child was told to not touch the dog.

According to St. Louis County Animal Control is still investigating the case.

Meanwhile, Panda's owner is planning to surrender the dog to and is waiting for paperwork to go through.
