ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – Playground weather is upon us as the fall season settles in. And one local, popular playground is getting a facelift just in time. Turtle Playground located on the far south side of Forest Park is seeing some updates through a restoration project made possible by MySun Charitable Foundation.

Four critical upgrades to the playground through Forest Park Forever and its partnership with the City of St. Louis include:

•Re-surfacing the access paths to the playground

•Laying new turf

•Installing new irrigation and water line underneath the playground

•Installing a drinking fountain (complete with water bottle filler and dog bowl at the bottom)

Parts of the playground have been temporarily closed during restoration, but the turtles themselves have remained in the open zone. This entire project is set to be completed within the next week.
