ST. LOUIS (KTVI) - St. Louis licensed mental therapist turned author Beverly McKee is about to launch a worldwide book tour promoting Celebrating Life Decades After Breast Cancer.

Beverly was diagnosed with a rare form of stage-3 breast cancer. After being diagnosed, she planned a party 40 years in the future from the date of her diagnosis: October 17, 2052. That party inspired her to write a book based on interviews with 40 long-term breast cancer survivors from around the world.

The book tour, which kicks off on Saturday at the Barnes and Noble on Clarkson Road in Chesterfield, offers readers the opportunity to meet the inspiring women from the book who have survived 20 to 50 years after diagnosis.
