Cubs Shut out Pirates 4-0, will play Cardinals in NLDS

The Cardinals now know their NLDS opponent. It’s their long time arch rival, the Chicago Cubs. The Cubs won Wednesday night’s NL Wild Card game 4-0. Pitcher Jake Arrieta threw a complete game shutout of the Pirates in Pittsburgh. Arietta struck out 11 PIrates  to continue his late season dominance. Kyle Schwarber was the hitting star for Chicago with three hits, including a two run home run.

The Cubs will make their way from Pittsburgh to St. Louis to begin the NLDS on Friday night against the Cardinals at Busch Stadium. The series is Best of Five games.
