ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – The demand was sky-high for tickets to game two.

FOX 2's George Sells found folks desperate to get their hands on one.

The sun is just coming up and Valle Cotter is already outside Busch Stadium, hoping against hope for a ticket to game two.

There’s always a chance if you are willing to pay a price.  Ticket brokers were also out early, telling us you`d be lucky to get standing room for this playoff game for under a $100.  Prices were up Saturday with an added influx of Cubs fans willing to pay big bucks.   After market ticket sites back up that assertion with the cheap seats going for $125 and soaring from there.

Others were banking on the box office. Buy hopes are slim at the ticket window.

Mark Schmuke is acting less like a ticket salesman and more like an amateur psychologist for all the folks he has to tell that tickets are gone.

And some came a long way like one woman and her husband, hoping for a re-issue to show up on one of the kiosks at just the right time so she and her husband can get in.

You often hear sports fans say `ya gotta believe, it`s an expression on this day referring to the ticket market as much as the game.
