KIRKWOOD, MO (KTVI)- An arrest has been made in the case of shooting early Saturday in Kirkwood, MO. Police were called to the 300 block of Meacham around 4:00am. They found a 23-year-old man, a Kirkwood resident, lying in the road with a gunshot wound to the neck.  He was rushed to the hospital where he is listed in critical condition.

Investigators at the scene learned the identity of a suspect, who knew the victim.  That suspect was located later Saturday at ahome in the 1900 block of Vinita in St Louis County. He was arrested without incident and a handgun used in the crime was also recovered.

The suspect was identified as Nicholas Tatum, 23, of Glendale, MO. He’s been charged with Assault in the First Degree and Armed Criminal Action. He’s being held on $125,000 cash bond at the St Louis County Jail.
