ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) - The organization, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, is not happy with Ringling Brothers' Circus. They are planning a protest near the big top tonight.

PETA claims the circus mistreats their animals and treats them cruelly. They say the circus' plans to phase out animal acts in 2018 is too far off and action should come now.

PETA has been protesting Ringling Brothers' elephant use for 35 years.
