Oprah Winfrey is hoping to turn Weight Watchers around. The former talk show host is buying a 10 percent stake in the company and taking a seat on its board of directors.

The move comes as the company has been struggling in recent months.

Profits plummeted nearly 50 percent in the first half of this year but closed a-hundred-and-five-percent higher at Monday’s Wall Street closing bell.

Winfrey says she wants to partner in the evolution of Weight Watchers, moving it from a weight loss focus to one of overall health and happiness.

It’s not clear if Winfrey will serve as a celebrity spokeswoman for the diet company.
