ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)- Do you use the Metrolink stop across the street from Busch Stadium downtown? If so, prepare for some changes. The south entrance of the Stadium Station has been closed to accommodate the reconstruction of the Spruce Street Bridge. It will remain closed for several months while the old bridge is demolished and a new one built.

Due to the closure, MetroLink passengers will need to use the stairs and ramps on Clark Avenue at the north end of the station to access the platform.

The bridge project is taking place during the St. Louis Cardinals offseason, so the number of passengers using that station is much lower than in the summer months.

The Spruce Street Bridge and the south entrance to the Stadium MetroLink Station should reopen prior the 2016 Cardinals home opener in April 2016.
