Elderly man attacked in Dutchtown South

ST. LOUIS (KTVI) - St. Louis police are searching for three teenagers believed to have attacked a 67-year-old man in a south city neighborhood Wednesday afternoon.

According to a spokesperson with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the incident occurred around 4 p.m. in the 3700 block of Taft Avenue.

A witness told police a trio of teenagers approached the victim as he was crossing the street. The suspects spoke with the man and then punched him in the face.

The victim suffered a nasty gash to his forehead and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The witness said the suspects ran east in the south alley of the 3700 block of Dewey Avenue.
