Thousands gather for Thanksgiving Day Parade in downtown St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)- Thousands of people are expected downtown this morning for the 31st annual Thanksgiving Day Parade. Last year's parade was canceled after the unrest in Ferguson. More than 130 floats, balloons and marching bands will be in this year's parade.

It starts at 8:45a.m. 7th Street and Market. It heads west on Market to 20th Street.

The Honorary Grand Marshals are Ameren CEO Tom Voss and his wife.
