Crews pull overturned boat from Mississippi River

NEAR SULPHER SPRINGS, MO (KTVI)- Rescue crews worked to pull an overturned boat from the Mississippi River Tuesday afternoon. The Missouri Highway Patrol Water Division, the Coast Guard, Rock Community Fire, and the Herculanium Fire Department all have boats in the river near Sulphur Springs MO.

The Missouri Highway Patrol Water Division says a passing tow boat saw the overturned boat and contacted the Coast Guard. There is no word on how the boat got into the water and overturned.
