NC State hands Missouri its first home-court loss, 73-59

COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) _ Cat Barber scored 33 points and grabbed seven rebounds as North Carolina State handed Missouri it’s first home loss, beating the Tigers 73-59 Saturday night.

Abdul-Malik Abu had 13 points to go with 11 rebounds for his third double-double of the season. Abu shot 4 of 8 from the field and was a perfect 5-for-5 from the free throw line in only 17 minutes.

Missouri jumped out to a 19-9 lead after holding the Wolfpack scoreless for the first four minutes. NC State started slow, shooting 4 of 12 in the first 10 minutes. Barber was 4 of 6 from the field during that stretch while the rest of North Carolina State was 0 of 6 from the field with one point.

Cullen VanLeer led Missouri with 12 points, shooting 4 of 7 from 3-point range. Tramaine Isabell added 10 points while Terrence Phillips and Wes Clark each scored seven.
