Salmonella detected at egg facility in Bonne Terre

BONNE TERRE, MO (KTVI)- Egg processing has been halted at a Missouri plant after the detection of trace levels of salmonella.   Testing by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services  indicated the presence of the bacteria at the Good Earth Egg Company processing facility in Bonne Terre, Mo.

There is no recall of Good Earth Egg Company products, but the facility will remain closed until it can be cleaned and retested. Good Earth eggs are sold locally at grocery stores, including Dierbergs.
