MARYLAND HEIGHTS, MO (KTVI) - Blakely and Brittany Broder are quite the pair. The sisters have been collecting donated teddy bears from local schools and other locations around St. Charles as part of their teddy bear turnaround. The duo have been collecting bears for years and have gathered more than 13,000 since they started back in 2008.  They brought the bears to the Stanley Steemer in Maryland Heights for a good cleaning to get them ready for needy kids across the St. Louis metro.

The Broder's also say it`s their last year for their project but plan to pass it on to other others.

Stanley Steemer has been cleaning donated bears since the 1990`s. The refurbished bears will go to the Salvation Army, local churches, the Missouri Highway Patrol and homeless shelters throughout St. Louis.  Workers also clean extra bears donated throughout the year.
