ST. CHARLES, MO (KTVI) – St. Charles police said they have not discovered evidence of foul play in the death of a two-year-old boy.

Investigators are unsure if a crime was committed, but will not officially rule anything out until after an autopsy, scheduled for Monday.

Neighbors in the Elm Point Mobile Home Village said the child’s mother ran into their home around 11 a.m. Sunday and started shouting that her baby was dead. One of those neighbors ran inside the trailer to see if she could help, but discovered the child was dead.

That neighbor said the child's room was extremely hot from some type of heat source.

Police have not released the boy’s name.
