Suspected drunk driver crashes into St. Charles County auto repair shop

ST. CHARLES COUNTY, MO (KTVI)-One person is in custody after an early evening crash Friday that landed a vehicle into an auto repair shop near Wentzville.

St. Charles County Police says that the driver was intoxicated and his car hit a guard rail near Josephville Road and Wortman Road before striking a large camper, going airborne and ending up  inside The Garage, an auto repair shop near the intersection.

The young male driver appeared to have blood on his face as a result of minor injuries sustained in the crash. He was taken into custody on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.

The building suffered significant damage.
