ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – Two lanes of northbound Interstate 55 will reopen at the Meramec River at 5:30 p.m., the Missouri Department of Transportation said Thursday.

According to Andrew Gates, a MoDOT spokesman, the southbound lanes at this location remain closed due to flooding. It's unclear when those lanes will reopen. Southbound I-55 traffic is closed at the I-270/I-255 interchange. Drivers can still take Butler Hill Road.

Both directions of I-44 remain closed between I-270 in St. Louis County and Route 100 at Gray Summit in Franklin County. Only Bowles Avenue is open to local traffic, Gates said.
