GRAFTON, IL (KTVI)-Grafton Police are still searching for the whereabouts of 42-year-old Heather L. Bardsley. She was last seen between 10:30pm-11:00pm on Saturday December 26, 2015, at a creek crossing on N. Cedar Street in Grafton. Friends she had been with assumed she had walked to her home a short distance away.

Police received a tip that an intoxicated woman fitting Bardsley’s description was seen in the town of Shipman. They have confirmed that the woman in question was not Bardsley.

Two cadaver dogs have been brought in to search the areas Bardsley was last known to be, including her house and the creek area . No solids leads were discovered. A cold weather dive team was brought in from O’Fallon IL and divers went into the culvert. They were able to reach a log jam area but could not proceed further due to safety issues.

Searches by friends and volunteers along with a boat-search of flooded areas by conservation officers from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources and Grafton Police also came up empty.

Bardsley was last wearing a grey sweatshirt, blue jeans, and zebra-print rubber rain boots. Anyone with information on Bardsley’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Grafton Police Department at 618-786-3354 or by email at graftonilpd@gmail.com.
