ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – A man found a dog in distress while taking out the trash. Stray Rescue posted a video of the dog to Facebook. The post has gone viral.

Randy Grimm says a man named Allen found the dog next to a dumpster covered in trash in a dog bed. The dog was discovered in the 5600 block of Vernon off of Goodfellow.  He brought her into his kitchen to help.

Allen mentions in the video that the dog is not keeping food down. Grimm says the dog looks starving, emaciated and was very dehydrated. They say the dog can’t stand up.

Grimm took the dog with the bed back to his shelter in his Jeep. He says they named her Tasha and are now looking for her abuser.

The dog is in critical condition.  She had a blood transfusion last night.

The Mayor’s Animal Abuse Task Force is currently working this case.
