ST. LOUIS, MO. (KTVI)- Want some ways to revamp your makeup routine for the new year? Makeup artist Tiphanie Shy stopped by to give the Fox 2 News team some helpful beauty advice.

1) A gorgeous glow- 'Strobing' got a little out of hand in 2016, so a good way to reel it in with a healthy glow that gives your skin a subtle sheen rather than a bright spotlight on your skin. Pat a little clear lip gloss on the high points of your cheekbones, the bridge of your nose and your eyelids for an instant glow.

2) Bold, boyish brows- Due in no small part to the release of "Glossier's Boy Brow promade" - sprouts (the hairs that stick up out at the beginning of your brow) will be brushed up in 2016. Yet another secret to the sneaky no - makeup look, the fly-away hairs are inherently youthful to boot.

3) Moody Lips- With the holidays officially over, we're just about ready to toss all of our festive hues out the window and settle into something a little more moody. Winter means it's prime time for dark lipsticks - not nude and not necessarily brown- dark and sultry.
