ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO (KTVI)- Two St. Louis teenagers were killed and three others were injured Saturday night when the car they were in was struck from behind on Page Avenue at Lackland Avenue. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says it happened at 11:30 Saturday when a car driven by 19 year-old Laurent Washington was stopped on Page heading eastbound and was struck from behind. It’s unclear where on the road the car was stopped.

Washington suffered serious injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital. Christian Mattingly, 18, of St. Louis and  Irijah Johnson, 19, also of St. Louis, who were passengers in Washington’s car, were both killed. Nicholas Gaines-Gracy, also a passenger in Washington’s car, was transported to Mercy Hospital with what the Highway Patrol described as moderate injuries.

The driver of the second car in the accident, Shaun Latham, was not transported with injuries from the scene.
