ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – A 24-year-old Eureka man who had been missing for one month has been found dead. According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Tyler Adams’ body was found Thursday around 12:10 p.m. inside a shed in the 4000 block of Taft Avenue in the Bevo neighborhood.

Recently the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department put out a missing person's notice for the man. The family of Tyler Adams had reported him missing in early December. The family had been trying to locate him with the help of a Facebook page. His mother tells me he had recently returned to Missouri from Texas.

Several men inspecting a fire damaged garage discovered the body in a corner of what remained standing.

They had been asked by the owner to give a bid to tear it down. Police have characterized this as a suspicious death.

One of the men who found the remains said it appeared the man was curled up, perhaps trying to keep himself warm.

Tyler Adams lived in Eureka, just inside the Jefferson County line. Police say he was last spotted on surveillance video from a South County restaurant on December 29th.

Relatives say Tyler's friends told them he had seemed agitated and nervous.

Police hope an autopsy will determine the cause of death.
