ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – A former St. Louis Police Officer charged with DUI also had cocaine in his system when he crashed his patrol car.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that prosecutors are reviewing this new evidence in the case of Jason Flanery who crashed on December 19th. He resigned later that day.

Flanery is the officer who shot and killed Vonderrit Myers Jr in 2014, after police say Myers fired at officers in the Shaw neighborhood.

Myers’ parents have since filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Flanery.
