ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KTVI)- The Iowa Caucus is over and the results are in.

David Kimball spoke with FOX 2 to break down the results of the Iowa Caucus. Kimball is an associate professor of Political Science at the University of Missouri/St. Louis.

Ted Cruz won the Republican vote at 28 percent, with Donald Trump coming in second at 24 percent, Fox News reported this morning.

Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton virtually tied as the leading two Democratic delegates. Clinton declared victory this morning, but Fox News reported Sanders only lost to Clinton by 4 votes, with a margin of only .3 percent.

Former governors of Arkansas, Republican Mike Huckabee, and Maryland, Democrat Martin O'Malley, suspended their campaigns after low polling numbers in last night's vote.
